The Elementary School Counseling Program at McKenzie School, part of the East Rutherford School District, is designed to support the social-emotional and personal development of all students. We offer individual and small group counseling on a short-term basis to help students navigate challenges such as peer relationships, managing emotions, or changes at home. These sessions are held during lunch or class time and are structured to minimize disruption to the student’s academic day.

Counseling sessions are fun, engaging, and tailored to meet the developmental needs of elementary-aged students. The school counselor works closely with families, teachers, and staff to ensure students receive the appropriate support and encouragement. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where every child feels heard, valued, and empowered to succeed.
